What is SpeechVault?
SpeechVault allows you to effortlessly explore and compare a wide range of Text-to-Speech (TTS) voices.
It reads your content aloud using your selected voice and saves the audio files for offline use. This makes it an ideal tool for refining your TTS scripts before deploying them in customer-facing environments such as mobile apps or Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems.

How does SpeechVault work?
SpeechVault is a cloud-based app that can be accessed from any device, using a web browser. Once your organisation is onboarded to SpeechVault, you can create as many user accounts as you want. Your team will then be able to log in to SpeechVault, and create and write ‘scripts’. These scripts will be saved in their personal vault, or they can be added to a shared vault that everyone in your organisation can see.
Depending on what languages you have chosen to subscribe to in SpeechVault, your users can listen to their scripts in high quality text-to-speech voices. Once they have chosen a voice and perfected the wording of their script, they can ‘publish’ it. This reminds them that it is been completed, and if the script is in the organisation’s vault, it will appear as published to your other users too.
Once a script is published, it can be downloaded as an audio file in your choice of formats, and used in any other application or on any device. The script will stay in SpeechVault, so that your users can keep track of the exact wording of the scripts, and continue to collaborate on the scripts together. It will also provide you with an audit, for your records.

Why is SpeechVault better than other apps?
Many of our customers had challenges creating consistent audio files from text-to-speech providers. Sometimes it simply wasn’t possible to just write the text, choose a voice, and save the file in the format that they wanted. Many TTS providers want to generate the audio stream in real-time, meaning that there is a cost every time the audio is generated. Even when it was possible to save it to a file, the results were not consistent and they were unable to keep a good record of what they’d created. Once a file was created, they tried to keep track of the transcript of the recording in text files or spreadsheets, and these were rarely kept up-to-date by other users.
SpeechVault solves all of these problems by providing a simple interface to enter text, choose a voice and generate an audio file. Once the file is created, you can use it wherever you want. Better still, the ‘script’ is created in SpeechVault, and you can view it again in the future to keep track of the exact wording of the audio file. You can see which language and voice were used, and which users created/amended the script. Users can save these scripts to their personal vault or share them in the organisation’s vault, which can be seen by all your users. Administrators can see even more details in a comprehensive audit.

All of your team can access SpeechVault
Once your organisation is set up on SpeechVault, you can create as many users as you want. They can log in with their own email address and password, and they’ll appear as part of your organisation. You can assign people to be user administrators, and they can create new users, edit their permissions, and delete users. As an administrator, you can control the different permissions that users have in SpeechVault. Some of these permissions include: access to create scripts, access to play recordings and select different voices, access to edit and delete scripts, the ability to view scripts, the ability to publish scripts, and the ability to download audio files.
What are the advantages of using SpeechVault?
You can save money by creating audio files from text-to-speech. Many of our customers used to pay voice actors to create professional-sounding audio files in a recording studio. These could then be used on their advertisements, on interactive voice responses (IVRs) and telephone menus, in-store announcements and other marketing material for radio or social media. Some customers also used their staff’s voices for these recordings, but they never sounded very professional, or the quality wasn’t very good.
Some customers also connected directly to text-to-speech providers via APIs or other integrations. This is more technically challenging, and it also means that they have to pay for every word that is spoken, every time the audio is played. How much does SpeechVault cost?
To give you the most flexibility and predictable monthly costs, SpeechVault uses Speech Tokens. You can subscribe to a certain amount of Speech Tokens for a fixed monthly cost. You can also choose which languages you would like to use in SpeechVault.
You can test your Script in SpeechVault, and then when it's perfect you may publish the Script. This gives you the option to download the audio file to use wherever you want. This will use a Speech Token.
Each additional language can be added to each package, with a 50% discount. This will also double the base number of Speech Tokens included in the package.
